We work with families and children, so we treat your information the way we’d want our own treated: carefully, securely, and with strict confidentiality.
What we collect and why
- Therapy Requests: Details shared via our request form (including your child’s name, age, and support needs) are read directly by a practitioner, rather than processed by automated software. All children's information is treated as sensitive and handled strictly under professional obligations.
- Shop Orders & Local Delivery: We collect your name, contact details, and address to pack and post your online order. For local Cairns hand-deliveries, we keep your address and any safe-drop instructions just to fulfil the order.
- In-Person Sales: If you request an emailed receipt at our market stall, we keep your email address for 12 months (in case of returns) and then delete it. We only add you to our mailing list if you explicitly ask us to.
- Customer Accounts: If you create an account, we store your email, optional saved checkout details, NLC Membership tier, and the pieces you save to your wishlist. To keep things secure, we use passwordless sign-in links or passkeys (we never hold the private half of your passkey). We also keep a brief security log of account sign-ins.
What we never see or track
- Payment Details: All payments are securely handled by Square; your card numbers never reach our servers.
- Invasive Analytics: We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics. We count website visits using a simple, cookieless method that resets daily and cannot identify you.
- Your Cart: Shopping carts live entirely in your own browser.
Where your data lives and who sees it
Your data is securely hosted and backed up in Sydney, Australia. We share it with no one, except the partners needed to run our business (or if required by law):
- Aramex: To calculate postage and deliver your parcels.
- Resend: To deliver transactional emails like order updates and sign-in links.
- Google: To suggest matching Australian addresses as you type at the checkout. Only what you type in the street field is sent, through our own server, and you can always type the address yourself. Our therapy enrolment form is a Google Form: the answers you give there are stored in our own Google account and seen only by our team.
Your rights and choices
You can view, edit, or delete your account directly from your Sign-in & security page. If you delete your account, we anonymise your past orders (removing your name and contact details) but keep the basic transaction record as required by tax law.
